Michael Vanpatten

Michael Vanpatten is a strategic finance and operations executive with a track record of leading organizations through growth, transformation, and value-creation initiatives. He is known for managing end-to-end P&L responsibility and translating strategic objectives into measurable outcomes, in complex and fast-moving environments that require both rigor and creativity. He is an accounting and finance advisor at RE Advisory, and adjunct professor of business at Southern New Hampshire University.

Previously, Michael served as Chief Financial Officer at True Influence, where he helped guide the company through a pivotal period of execution and positioning. In that role, he helped orchestrate its acquisition by MeritB2B, bringing disciplined financial leadership to transaction readiness, stakeholder alignment, and the operational planning required for a successful integration. His work in M&A reflects an ability to balance strategic priorities with practical execution, leveraging strong negotiation skills to structure cost-effective solutions and resolve complex business issues.

Prior to True Influence, Michael held CFO roles at Blackbaud, Inc. and Princeton Power Systems, expanding his leadership across diverse business models and operating contexts. Across these organizations, he has partnered cross-functionally to establish and communicate organizational objectives and KPIs designed to lift productivity and performance, while also modernizing operations through cost-effective, innovative technologies that increase efficiency and scalability.

Education and Personal

He holds an MBA in Marketing & Finance from George Mason University.
